| Access code |
A randomly generated number used by the award recipient to log in to the award selection site and select his or her award. The recipient receives this code during his or her award presentation after the nomination is approved. |
| Activation |
The process of the final approver verifying the nomination information and sending notification emails to the nominator and the approver. The system then sends an award notification email with an access code to the person who will prepare and give the presentation. |
| Approver |
The person who approves the nomination. |
| Nomination Wizard™ |
A tool that recommends the appropriate award level based on questions answered by the nominator. |
| Nominator |
The person who nominates an employee for an award. |
| Nominee |
A person nominated for an award for above-and-beyond behavior. |
| Note of thanks |
An email sent to an employee thanking him or her for a job well done. |
| Presentation card or certificate |
A card or certificate given to the recipient during the award presentation. It contains the access code and instructions for selecting an award online. |
| Recipient |
A person whose nomination has been approved. |
