Who pays for the award?
The cost of the award will be reflected as part of the nominator's departmental budget and has already been accounted for in corporate planning. Why is the access code sent to the nominee's manager vs. the nominator?
There are several reasons for sending the access code to the nominee's manager. First, we want to make sure that managers are kept at the forefront of the recognition experience. Many employees may not feel comfortable delivering the awards presentation, and it is an essential part of creating a culture of recognition at Quest Diagnostics. Finally, if the nominator is not a part of the same business unit as the nominee it might be impossible for the nominator to make such a presentation. However, if at all possible, it is important for the nominator to be present at the award presentation.

It is the responsibility of the nominee's manager to make arrangements with the nominator concerning the best place and time for the award presentation.
